to ensure the most comfortable and safe transport for public transport passengers in Riga.
Ultimate goal:
Implementation and operation of the project on integrated movement control, passenger safety and information system of public transport in the city of Riga, implementation and operation of other intelligent traffic management systems, placement of useful (commercial) information on monitors in public transport vehicles.

● to implement the common integrated transport information system of RP SIA “Rīgas Satiksme”, the main features of which are:
● public transport equipment;
● server network infrastructure;
● to provide passengers with comprehensive and qualitative information that is necessary both when planning a journey and during the journey;
● to reduce criminal activities in transport, to eliminate cases of vandalism and hooliganism in the vehicles of RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme”, providing both the management of RP SIA “Rīgas satiksme” and law enforcement authorities with the information and evidence necessary to combat criminal and hooligan activities and to carry out preventive actions;
● to perform efficient, operative and flexible vehicle fleet management and control;
● to improve cooperation in the field of traffic management;
● to ensure sustainable business development by attracting funding to investments which comply with the aims of SIA “Rīgas acs” to the maximum extent;
● to ensure effective process management in accordance with the development and activity aims of SIA “Rīgas acs”;
● to improve efficiency and internal processes of SIA “Rīgas acs”;
● to develop and implement technologies for the effective implementation and control of internal processes;
● to provide a safe working environment;
● to develop employee skills in accordance with the development and activity aims of SIA “Rīgas acs”;
● to increase productivity;
● to ensure the development and continuity of personnel competencies.
Development directions:
● The integrated traffic control, safety and passenger information system is a competitive service in the passenger transportation market - both in Latvia (urban, interurban transportation) and abroad. For SIA “Rīgas acs”, offering the system on the market is an opportunity for company growth.
● The development of the system has great possibilities in the future as it is an open type modular system, to which it is possible to add versatile functional modules, such as a traffic light control module, which will provide a green wave for public transport, a parking module, etc., creating a smart city system. The system can process a huge amount of information; a data centre can be built on the basis of it.
● One of the revenue generation plans of SIA “Rīgas acs” is to generate revenue from electronic advertising by placing information on monitors and other electronic devices of SIA “Rīgas acs”.
